"When you suggested that I change my Phonak Digital 'Perseo' hearing aids for the latest Phonak 'Savia' aids, I felt that the suggestion was akin to changing a Bentley for a Rolls Royce. Using the new aids for a couple of months has made me realise that the analogy needs to be amended. I have, in fact, changed a vehicle with a manual gear box (remember those?) for one with the latest automatic box. Just like the automatic car, the aids adjust to changing circumstances in an imperceptible way.
No longer do I have to search my pockets for the remote control whenever I attend a music recital or noisy supermarket as the aids always seem to be just right. In fact, I felt quite chuffed when, in a very noisy restaurant, I was able to hear my friend perfectly well whilst he was having great difficulty in hearing me above the din.
I am no longer aware of the fact that I am wearing aids. I put them in in the morning and completely forget about them until I go to bed at night. There is only one word to describe them and that is 'amazing'. Much of their success is due to the care taken by you in ensuring that the aids are set to match the hearing loss of each ear and I felt that I must write and thank you for doing this so accurately that I now feel that I have normal, natural, hearing."

The 'Perseo' must be a bit like a pilot changing from a Tiger Moth to Concorde, when I compare them to the NHS device that I had before, the hearing levels, clarity and quality of sound are fantastic. At work I am able to take part in full conversation whereas before it was a muddled mumble of jumbled sound.

"It is now over three months since I consulted you and was fitted with two Phonak digital hearing aids. Over a period of several weeks you have visited and worked with me to completely solve my hearing difficulties. Initially, with the in-the-ear (ITE) aids I had problems with condensation. As a result, and without further expense to me, you obtained new ear-moulds and replaced the ITE aids with Phonak behind-the-ear aids which have functioned flawlessly since.
In addition you extended the programming of the aids to give me improved performance and a music program was added without losing the inductive loop telephone facility. My aids now have five programs accessible with the Sound Pilot remote control!
With the aids I have been able to fully participate in group meetings and understand even quiet speakers. The music program is a delight. I can now enjoy listening to classical music again, as I used to many, many years ago.
I want to express my gratitude and thanks for your friendship and persistance in helping me, and in repeatedly meeting my requirements. I look forward to taking advantage of other Phonak products."
